Memorial Day

 <-- courtesy of April

May you all be blessed today. Please remember that without the sacrifices soldiers make each & every day we wouldn't have the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.

For anyone who complains about how our soldiers are fighting the war in Iraq or anywhere else in the world that you may not be aware of ... I say to you, walk a mile in their shoes & then you have every right in the world to complain.

Be the wife/husband who worries night and day as to whether or not their soldier will come home in one piece, will they be home for that special event ... be the child who sheds a tear for the parent who proudly serves their country even though what they really want to do is make that last ball game or the next birthday party ... or lastly the soldier who clings to the pictures & memories of his/her family to get them through each mission. Freedom comes with a price!

If you disagree with this war it is your right, but remember it's only your right because of brave soldiers!

I'm PROUD to say ... I'M A SOLDIERS WIFE!!!!

What a perfect entry. You  made me cry. I am such a proud supporter of our troops. I know this war is unpopular. It doesn't matter. OUR soldiers are over representing our country in the fight for freedom.  I did not know your DH was a soldier. Is he Army? Marine? Is he in Iraq now? How long has he been gone. Bless you and yours. Please thank him for me. All 3 of my kids served in the Military. My youngest was there when the fighting started. Talk about not knowing what was going to happen. Well, we still don't. I'll pray for his safety.  ALL our soldiers safety.  And the rest of those who've passed before.
Have a good Memorial Day. Bless you.

I've never seen this video before. It made me cry. Though I don't agree with this war, I have much respect for thoughs who fight in it for us. Soldiers don't choose the wars, they choose the Country and the loved ones whom they fight for. And I'm very proud of them all. God bless!

I don't know what to think about the war in Iraq...Support your husband yes all the way...but one thing I learned being in the military myself..we don't get to pick our wars...we have no choice...Each and every man and woman there is a hero in my eyes!  Praying your husband stays safe..Hugs,TerryAnn

I love what you wrote today!  God bless you!  A lot of people don't seem to realize that if those brave soldiers weren't fighting for our freedom right now (and that means that some of them HAVE to go to Iraq) then the war would have to be fought right here on OUR SOIL! We didn't start this war~but we darn sure are gonna finish it!  Our guys are gonna WIN THIS WAR!  All they need is the support of the American people and Congress to stop their politics.
